About our farm

We moved to Potterne Park Farm with our three children in the eighties.

We grow arable crops including beans, wheat and oil seed rape, and care for a herd of Simmental suckler cows. This traditional, high-welfare method of beef farming means the calves are raised by their mothers in the grassy meadows at Potterne Park Farm until weaning at around 7-10 months old.

The farm also has around 12,000 free range egg-laying hens, so fresh eggs are usually available on request!

We have put a lot of effort into promoting wildlife on the farm, particularly ground-nesting birds including pheasant and grey partridge. Roe deer are a regular sight, as well as plenty of hares, a variety of owls, and the occasional muntjac. Keen wildlife lovers should keep their eyes peeled!

While secluded and peaceful, the farm is also ideally located for exploring the area, including nearby Marlborough and Stonehenge.

A taste of farm life

The lodges are located close to the centre of the farm, meaning there is always something to learn or see, such as newborn calves, chickens, cattle being fed, or combine harvesters and tractors working in the fields.
